Recorded at Manta Sound in Toronto, this remarkable CD features internationally renowned jazz greats Kenny Barron on piano and Bob Cranshaw on bass. The roster of well known Canadian musicians playing with Arlene on this labour of love reads like a who’s who of jazz music. Highlights include a bevy of lush tenor solos by the likes of Rick Wilkins (co-producer) on Days Gone By, Eugene Amaro on I’ve Never Been In Love Before, and Alex Dean on the title track Until Today. Also not to be missed is Guido Basso’s soulful fugal horn on I Thought About You. Other artists on board are Rob McConnell, Pat Labarbera, Sam Noto, Ed Bickert, Barry Elmes, Jerry Fuller and Moe Kaufman. Canadian music is strongly featured throughout with compositions by Joe Sealy, Charles Montford, Bernie Senensky, Bob Fenton, Don Thompson and Doug Riley.
